I loved drawing in my school days, and was awarded for drawing and painting in 9th Grade in 1960 from Waheeda Rehman, an Indian classical dancer/film actress.  Though I wished to, I was unable to pursue my love of art as working for livelihood took precedence over art.  Over the years, however, I captured beauty through photography.  After I retired, I started painting to fulfill my passion.  Since then, I found my life more meaningful and satisfying.

I paint for my own pleasure and to satisfy my soul.  Beauty appeals to me in everything I see. I fall in love with any beautiful subject/object; for I feel, ‘A thing of beauty is a joy forever’ and ‘Art flows from the heart!’
