🎨 Balkrishna

Painter • Photographer • Storyteller of Beauty

“A thing of beauty is a joy forever.” — John Keats

I paint to nourish my soul and celebrate beauty wherever I find it. Inspired by the belief that “a thing of beauty is a joy forever,” my work is a reflection of places I've lived—India, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, New Jersey, and Washington—and the emotions they evoke.

Though my early passion for art was paused by life’s responsibilities, I returned to painting after retirement, rekindling a lifelong love that began in school, where I was honored for my work by actress Waheeda Rehman in 1960. I now work across oil, watercolor, gouache, charcoal, and graphite, drawing influence from Renaissance and Pre-Raphaelite styles.
